Petricor

Mobile robotic platform with omnidirectional wheels and arm for large-scale 3D printing and construction automation.

About Petricor

Petricor has invented a revolutionary concept to literally "emancipate" a 3D printer from its frame. Giving the ability to print large objects without needing a large frame to support the hardware. Making the printers easily transportable, little to no assembly required, and enabled to be used in the construction field. The printer works by using a mobile platform which uses omnidirectional wheels to give the freedom of movement a 3D printer would need to have. On top of the platform a lift is mounted, which can extend and retract as needed. On the end of the lift, a robotic arm is placed. The robotic arm serves as a final positioning tool to give accurate response and movement as required. The robotic arm also serves a second purpose, now all of the sudden the machine can also perform virtually all of the tasks robotic arms have been able to perform in the industry up to now, the fact that now several tasks can be automated, provides for a solid step in the dream of automation. Leaving only the need to design new tools that the platform will use to perform given tasks flawlessly. We work under the dream for true democracy in automation for the benefit of all.
