About Domus3D
Here the evolution about 3D printing in civil construction, our project and in the world, also industry 4.0 and how to lead this disruptive phenomenon. Studying the application of 3D printers in civil construction, we believe that this will really be the future, almost 01 year ago, we started to develop our robot builder Domus, directed to the construction mainly of houses and buildings. As with our CNC machines, a robot needs to integrate mechanical, electro-electronic, computational and software technologies, which is very similar to the know-how we have acquired over all these years in the market. Our CNC portals could be easily adapted for a 3D concrete printer, however we do not see much feasibility in this method of construction, since this machine could not be transported to the construction site. For this reason, we developed the mobile Domus robot, which can be transported to construction sites with greater ease, being designed to be dismountable and its installation much easier. The Domus robot consists of a tower with an articulating arm that prints around itself, covering an area up to 14.0m in diameter and 3.5m in height. After each printed layer, the articulating arm is lifted by the tower, making it possible to print the upper layer. Each robot has the capacity to print a construction of a 04-room house of approximately 100.00 m2 in 15 hours, considering the walls with a height of 3.0 m. This would be equivalent to printing 12.0m2 of wall per hour. The project was designed so that more robots can operate simultaneously on the same work, each working in its printing area, and synchronized via software to avoid collisions with each other. As in all the machine projects that we execute, we always adapt some specificities at the end of the project's development in order to better serve the consumer. Therefore, we are looking for partners, whether professionals or companies of the kind, in order to accelerate the completion of the robot builder Domus. If my followers are interested in contributing technically to the Domus3d project, please contact them privately. Any technical assistance is welcome! whether professionals or companies of the kind in order to speed up the completion of the robot builder Domus.
