We work predominantly in the education sector where we collect, collate and utilise a huge range of datasets to strategically plan school estates for Local Authorities, Diocese and Multi-Academy Trusts. By planning mainstream and high needs population changes, we identify the demand on the school estate at a local level. By measuring the estate in terms of both internal and external space, we are able to establish the supply at a site level. We identify potential funding opportunities at a localised level in terms of central and local government funding, developer contributions and land value, which runs into billions of pounds of capital. Through mapping local pressures in terms of both educational and wider social and community requirements, we then draft plans for the assets we map to establish redevelopment opportunities and co-ordinate these with our clients and delivery partners to build out the solutions. With the financial impact of Covid-19, combined with a crumbing school estate, drive for decarbonisation, unprecedented demand for social and affordable housing and initiatives around optimisation of the publicly owned estate; we are looking to develop a one stop pro-tech solution that identifies the opportunities and brings together the funding solutions and delivery partners to build out mixed use community developments. We have so far developed two web applications to support with our work and are looking to partner with a prop-tech investor to take these to the next level, where we are able to map all publicly owned assets and funding opportunities on a national and international basis.
