Nuki Home Solutions is a leading provider of retrofittable, smart access solutions in Europe. The company revolutionises the way of smart home access offering a combination of hardware and smartphone app . Nuki’s vision is aimed at making existing door locks smarter and thereby replacing the physical key. The company was founded in 2014 in Graz by Up to Eleven, a company builder for mobile future products. The current product portfolio includes the Nuki Combo, consisting of Nuki Smart Lock and Nuki Bridge, as well as the Nuki Box - a retrofit solution for apartment buildings. Currently, Nuki Home Solutions has more than 40 employees and the CEO is Martin Pansy. In 2015 Nuki was funded by one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns in German-speaking countries. The market launch of the Nuki Smart Lock in the DACH region in 2016 marked the company’s first significant milestone. Just one year later, the successful market launch in Benelux, France and the UK followed. NUKI - The electronic door lock The Nuki Smart Lock is a Bluetooth door lock, which enables smart home access via smartphone. Nuki detects when the authorised user comes home and opens the door automatically, which is one of the most comfortable features. In addition, access authorisations for family members and friends can easily be assigned and withdrawn at the touch of a button in the Nuki app. Through the Nuki Bridge additional internet access is provided, which enables users to control the Smart Lock from anywhere. As a result, remote access can be assigned for guests as well as the cleaning lady or the craftsmen. Alternatively, Nuki also offers a Bluetooth key fob: The Nuki Fob allows easy access without a physical key, which is especially interesting for people without a smartphone - such as seniors or children.
