About Guru Systems
Guru Systems is decarbonising heat across the UK
The UK must reduce its carbon emissions by between 80 and 100% by 2050. The biggest and toughest part of this challenge is the decarbonisation of heat. Guru provides technology and data analytics to operators of heat networks and other low carbon heat systems.
Heat networks are an essential part of the future low carbon energy mix, with the proportion of UK heating delivered over heat networks projected to rise from 2% to 20% in the next decade. To fulfil their potential, however, they must perform well. By digitalising heat, Guru’s hardware and software enables transparency and accountability, making it easy to spot the causes of costly inefficiency and hold supply chains to account.
For residential customers on heat networks, Guru’s technology platform provides a simple way to pay for and control heat use, while eliminating debt risk for
operators. Our technology is for people who want to deliver and operate better heat networks and provide a great service to their customers.
Guru Systems’ technology has been installed on more than 150 networks across the UK and is used by a wide range of system operators, from large energy companies like E.On, Engie and SSE, to housing associations and private developers like L&Q and Berkeley Homes.
Guru Systems’ technology is helping clients revolutionise the performance of heat networks, and has garnered numerous awards, including the Association for Decentralised Energy’s Innovation of the Decade and the PlaceTech prize in 2018.
